For the first time, the HENN Connector Group will be participating in the Business Case Challenge (BCC) of Vienna University of Economics and Business and the eXplore! support initiative this year.
The Business Case Challenge was brought to life by initiators Dr. Michael Tojner and Dr. Jonas Puck for the first time in 2020. In cooperation with partners and sponsors, the BCC supports school children and students in analyzing and solving real problems in the form of a business case. The Business Case Challenge is a non-profit competition of ideas which sees more and more participants and industry partners join each year!
Its declared goal is to implement the theory of economics in practice to generate new and innovative ideas. School children and students are given the unique opportunity to actively collaborate on current topics and challenges of Austrian companies and have a hand in shaping a sustainable future.
The business case of the HENN Connector Group has to do with additive manufacturing—also known as 3D printing—which represents a fast-growing area of technology. This technology can reduce waste and material consumption and is environmentally friendly in comparison to conventional production methods, as parts can be manufactured with less energy and carbon emissions. For this case, BCC participants are able to describe industrial additive manufacturing in the year 2030.
