III. Description and scope of the data processing
1. Provision of the website
Each time our Internet site is called up, our web server automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the accessing computer in so-called server log files. The following data is collected here:
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referring URL
- IP address/host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
This data cannot be assigned to specific persons by us. We save this information for a period of up to 30 days. The data is saved for reasons of data security for ensuring the stability and operational security of our system.
2. Cookies
We use cookies on our website to make our offerings more user friendly. Cookies are small files which are automatically created by your browser and which are saved on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone etc.) when you visit our site. The cookies are saved until you delete them. This enables us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.
Should this be against your wishes, you can set up your browser in such a way that it informs you when cookies are set and you allow them on an individual basis. We would like to point out, however, that the deactivation of cookies will result in your not being able to use all the functions of our website.
The legal basis for data processing using cookies is Article 6, Par. 1, Sec. 1, letter f of the GDPR.
Cookies are valid for an indefinite period of time and are then deleted by your browser.
You can find all the cookies which are used, sorted by function and explained in detail, in our cookie information. You can customize your settings and accept or reject only the necessary cookies or all cookies (including statistics, marketing etc.) accordingly.
3. Web analysis
“Google Analytics,” a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States of America, is used on our website for evaluation of use of the site. Google Analytics uses cookies (see Item 5.) which are saved on your computer.
The information on website and Internet use by the visitor contained therein can be processed and evaluated by Google. The data collected by Google may also be transmitted in states outside the EU and the EEA, in particular the United States of America. Google has submitted to the Privacy Shield Framework, however. More information on your rights from this can be found at http://ec.europa.eu/justice/dataprotection/document/citizens-guide_en.pdf.
We also use a “Google signal,” where Google uses so-called “cross-device tracking.” With this, website visits by a single visitor with different end devices can be associated with this one user if they have logged in to a Google service during the sessions and also activated the “personalized advertisement” option in their Google account settings. This does not make personal data or user profiles accessible to us. Should you desire that “signals” not be used, you can deactivate the “personalized advertisement” option in your Google account settings.
We also ensure that your IP address is made anonymous before it is sent to Google.
You can also prevent Google Analytics cookies by selecting the “Required cookies only” in the “Cookie information” pop-up which appears when calling up the website. In this case, the use of cookies by Google Analytics is not permitted.
The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Article 6, Par. 1, Sec. 1, letter f of the GDPR.
4. Forms and e-mail contact
If you fill out a contact form or send us an email or other electric message, your data is only saved for the purpose of processing the request and any possible associated follow-up questions and is only used within the scope of the request.
The legal basis for the processing of your request is Article 6, Par. 1, Sec. 1, letter b of the GDPR.
We will delete your e-mail address after handling your request.
IV. Data security
1. SSL encryption
During the website visit, we employ the widely used TLS process in connection with the respective highest level of encryption supported by your browser. If an individual page of our Internet presence is transmitted encrypted, this can be recognized by the closed representation of a key or lock symbol in the address bar of your browser.
We also use other suitable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against random or willful manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction and unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continually being improved as technology progresses.
2. E-mails sent to us
We would like to bring to your attention the fact that, subject to an explicit agreement and configuration, e-mails sent to us are unencrypted.
